What is covered in Extended Warranty?
Extended warranty applies to eligible manufacturing/quality defects in key high-voltage EV components, as per program terms and eligibility. Coverage includes (eligible items may vary by model):
High Voltage Battery Eligible Parts
- High-voltage battery eligible components (battery pack related eligible parts)
- Eligible battery safety/control related components (as applicable)
Electric Motor System Eligible Components
- Traction Motor Assembly and Motor Control Unit (as applicable)
What is not covered in Extended Warranty.
Accidents, collision, water ingress due to external causes
Water ingress or damage caused by external factors (non-manufacturing causes)
Wear & tear / consumables (tires, brake pads, wipers, 12V battery, etc.)
Unauthorized modifications, tampering, or non-approved parts
Repairs at unauthorized workshops
Misuse, negligence, racing/competitive driving
Odometer manipulation or inaccurate mileage records
Important Rules for Warranty Coverage
To keep your extended warranty valid, follow these essential requirements

Service only at Authorized Service Centers
2. Follow Maintenance
Follow recommended maintenance schedule and owner's manual requirements
3. Genuine Parts
Use genuine / approved parts only
4. Maintain Records
Maintain required records and compliance as per program terms
5. Himalayan Everest Insurance Ltd. Continuity Rule
Continuous insurance coverage with Himalayan Everest Insurance Ltd. is mandatory for warranty validity.

- If insurance is changed, extended warranty will be terminated

You may still qualify.
Existing ICAUR customers can add extended warranty by paying the applicable premium, provided insurance is with Himalayan Everest Insurance Ltd. and the vehicle meets eligibility/inspection criteria (additional terms apply).
Late enrollment note (2025 model year vehicles insured elsewhere)
If your 2025 model year ICAUR is currently insured with another insurance company and you want to purchase Extended Warranty:
- Extended Warranty cannot be issued as a standalone policy - it must be issued along with Himalayan Everest Insurance Ltd. Policy
- Insurance may charge additional premium for past years to enter into extended warranty cover
- To avail extended warranty benefits, it is mandatory to maintain both: Himalayan Everest Insurance Ltd. Policy + Extended Warranty Policy continuously until the end of the total warranty period (Manufacturer Warranty + Extended Warranty)
